WW2 in Color and B&W

Post by AltarBoy » Mon Oct 16, 2006 1:34 am

Borrowed some DVDs showing color footage of WW2. However I was peeved when the commentator referred the FW-190 as an FW-109! He was actually comparing a P-40 with the FW-190. Saw dumbo Hitler and his croonies and Eva Braun. But the worse were scenes of the Eastern Front. All through the footage I saw fields of dead russian soldiers. The film really brought home how brutal that war was. There was actual footage of French partisans throwing petrol bombs down on a german lorry and one on a spectacular Japanese kamikazee attack on a US carrier. But my favorite was the allied air attack on the retreating germans in Falaise. Man, those Typhoons could wreak havoc with rockets.
