some of you my know about blender. i tried a few things with it and it looks very good. Version 2.41 just got released.

I've been using Wings 3D it does fewer things than Blender, but what it does, it does very well. http://www.wings3d.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I'd do my modeling and UV mapping in Wings 3D and then for the rest you could use blender :) It is also free.
