Helo's Big Adventure

Post by :FI:Heloego » Thu May 21, 2015 1:59 pm

Rode the bike up to Aurora to visit Tim and gave her (the bike) a good shakedown cruise of over 1200 miles round trip. Talk about!
Cool, overcast weather on the way up:

Left to Right: Craig has the Harley Heritage Soft Tail, I have the Royal Enfield C5 Classic, and Tim has the Versys 650.
Great trip all around, and the amazingly bad weather just made it more enjoyable!
My boss says if you don't have a story, it makes for a lousy ride. ;)

Lookin' forward to the next one!!!! :D

( Oughta get a side car to mount a machine gun. ;) )

It was sort of a fast one, all considered. Had to do the 1200+miles in less than a week, but I wouldn't have traded it for anything.
Now that the bike had a "proper" shakedown cruise, I have no problem doing another. In fact my boss and a couple of co-workers from the Phoenix area are planning a trip along the route I took for later this month, and I've been invited. :D
Hey, the Enfield is giving me a true 72 mpg, even loaded down, so why not? :p

In other news...

Murph came up with a suggestion to fix my '46 no-controls glitch. Maybe copying the config.ini from a clean install and replacing it will help. :? If it does I'll DL the latest patch for HSFX and give it a go! :D
