Stringbags over stressed

Post by :FI:Falcon » Mon Jul 20, 2009 4:03 am

Skins of the Fairey Swordfish are sssssllloooowly becoming available.

You'll need to make a folder in your skins folder in PaintSchemes/Skins named, "SwordfishMkI".

I'm starting to learn the Swordfeesh skin and making a template for it.

Image

If anyone has any pics of the ac during the Taranto attack or any other paint scheme they like, let me know.

Image

The betas are missing some textures and other details like floating panels and extra struts. All should be fixed when the final version comes out.

Skinners, except for all the shading of the ribs and knowing what strut is what, this looks like a fairly easy job. Go for it!

The Swordfish template will take time. I found Canon's excellent skins and decided to cut a corner.

Get your historic, (plus a few FI bits), paint scheme of the 824th squadron that took part in the Taranto attack here. I could have a full set ready in a day or so.

Skinners, erm ... lots of mirrored bits ... still a fun skin though.

Stu you are a prolific skinner! Here I was just thinking about finding a void.bmp for this and your already working on a TEMPLATE!.

I'll take a "What ever Stu's got" with a #45 and serial number, Please.

Sacktime

p.s. Stu, how many skinning projects do you have on the go? I've been working on just 2, and I'm not quite happy enough with them to show any close up pictures.

Sack,

I'm only working on the Swordfish template now. What keeps me busy though is our active cadre of missioneers. This squadron will be 'round a good bit with such energy.

The template will take a while. It's a good thing that Canon is so prolific these days. Go here to see his work.

And hell, show your work! This ain't no art gallery! It's a wall that needs graffiti!

Thanks Stu!, have it bookmarked Under "Skinning Stuff"

Is there a Swordfish MKII mod too? I'm asking as Cannon has some Mk II skins available.

I'll bust out some newer skin for this old project

My first Skin

And my latest attempt at the MC-202 III, that's the one if you remember I couldn't make the skin look dull enough

I'm not up on what's available over at AAA other than the second beta has a few problems ... Canon will make a template available ... I think ... and that the final Swordfish will hopefully have the 3d modeling issues fixed.

I'm waiting to send all the skins until after I hear more from Nellip about his Taranto missions/campaign.

Herr Falke!

Bitte senden Sie auch eine Lackierung für den Schwertfisch zu. Wie immer mit meinen persönlichen Informationen darauf: Nr.14 und meinem rotem Stern. Danke, Herr Falke! ^:)

(Would you also send me in one of those skind for the Swordfish. As usual with my personal information on it: no 14 and my red star. Thank you, Mr Falcon!)
