really?

so Minnesota pays premium bucks for months old

Louisiana/Swedish crawfish?

There was/is a big stink here in New Orleans.

Oriental crawfish were being imported to N'Awlins

really!

They were cheaper!

Some legislation

and a wee bit o'persuasion

have taken care of most of ~that~ problem though.

And NO ONE uses "youse" or "youse guys" down here,

that's more New Yorker or upper mid-west.

If the Minnesotans want aged mudbugs they can get 'em at any Walmart!

Look for the "Barnard's" brand from Mererro.

Odeds are they've been thawed somewhere between LA and MN, so I hope they have strong stomachs! :p

it sounds very much like Dublin slang some of dat dere stuff youse is going on with...

And a lot of Dublin slang came from English soldiers (a lot of cockneys) - so cockney rhyming slang is still used a bit (well, some phrases anyway) in the Dub.
they talk like this in Essex too (lot of cockneys and travellers) awight geeza
dont chore me mota

" very well old chap please dont steal my automobile"

Now "old chap" means something else in Essex but if you were trying to steal a car there the owner would probably just yell " Oi prick" ( before he/her "Lamped yer")

Isn't language wonderful

Here we go again ................

Let the good times roll.

Wasn't born in Looosiana, but lived there from Junior high to College graduation. Went to ULM (formerly Northeast Looosiana University).

They changed the symbol of the school from Indians to Warhawks as well as a tribute to Gen Chennault who formed the Flying Tigers of WWII fame. He was from/lived in Monroe Loooooossiana. Also, there are a fair number of Red Shoulder Hawks in the area, so the mascot kinda looks like one of em.

for all of our high school and younger members, get your arse into college, you will not regret it. study hard, it pays and college is a hoot as well, lots of fun stuff goin on.

Aaaaeeeeiii,
