Didn't see the quote I use most often " where the f**k did he come from".

I didn't see my favorites Derek Robinson quote; " We are not 'Knights of the Air'- we do not walk up to our opponent and challenge him to a duel, we sneak up on him while he's busy picking his nose and shoot him in the back."
"Níor bhris focal maith fiacail riamh."

Best quote i ever heard was from a RSM John 'Mingy' Morris ,Whist teaching the optic's and Sights to a Young Officers Course in the Artillery School , losing his patience with a 2nd lieutenant shouted " Mister Kelly Reminds me of a Crow looking into a Bottle,If he hits that traverse wheel again, i am gonna cut it off,and he will not be able to play with himself tonight" :D
"i will give thee a dog which i got in ireland. He is huge of limb, and for a follower equal to any man,Moreover, he hath a man's wit and will bark at thine enemy's but never at thy friends. He will see by each man's face whether he be ill or well disposed toward thee. He will give down his life foe thee. (The Icelandic Saga of Nial,c . AD 970-1014

Ur'e welcome..

I am still not able to connect to the internet at home....not sure what the problem is. I will google some to get some steps I can take to possibly resolve the problem...

when I installed the new modem, it did a check of my PC networking equipment and all was green. My ISP provider says all is well up to the modem...

I guess it must be a software issue, drivers perhaps, I'll download them at work and install them at home and see...

I now have a set of CH pedals to go with my CH Fighterstick..kinda cool but I have to get used to them...

Later,

Mike

You may need to re-install the software for your Router. My only guess at this point.

Have you by-passed the Router and connected your PC directly to your cable modem? Or is it a Cable Modem/Router?

yes sir, I took the router out. I was able to reconnect, but it would be lost again with only the modem in line. I reinstalled the Nvidia network drivers as well and the browser software. It would reconnect sometimes, not sure why, and then I would loose it again..... That sounds like a virus or a piece of hardware failing...

Still not on line at home. Will continue to work it...

Practicing with my new CH pedals and joystick, so far, so good...

The ISP techy said he is seeing very slow traffic coming from my modem over the cable.. I suspect it may be the two rather old splitters on the cable since the modem is brand new, a popular Motorola Surfboard modem.

I will replace the cheap/old splitters on my cable with 2 new high quality ones this evening to see if that kicks up the speed enough and maybe improves the TV and PC performance some...

Will let you know.. Otherwise, I may have to have a service call to fix the problem.
