I play a Fender Strat through a Roland Cube. Started teaching myself on a cheap wal mart guitar about a year and a half ago. Gotten a lot better since then . Macca, I'm pretty into Hendrix's stuff too, been working on Voodoo Child and Red House now for a while. My first guitar was a cheap Epiphone Les Paul that I put new pickups in, as well as Gibson Vintage tuners, but that's on loan to my girlfriend right now to give her something to start on. Moved up to my Strat a few months ago, and love it.

Here she is, next to my Epi LP100:

As for good Stones songs to play, nothing beats Can't You Hear Me Knocking. Brown Sugar's a good one too, I've gotta learn Honky Tonk Woman.

 Any bassists? We all classic rock junkies? Or perhaps we could compromise with some Flogging Molly and Dropkick Murphys covers :D

Bassplayer since '84 here. Had a 10 year break from playin (1997-2007) and am now slowly coming back into the groove. I own a very old Clover Slapper (German "Edel"bass, graphit neck-bolt on, waaaaay better then them Warwickses ;) )and just recently bought back a Hohner "Jack" (Headless) I sold 1992. Currently I'm tryin to get back my old gear, but some are for ever lost methinks (I sold a pre CBS Jazzbass I found in Poland in the early 90ies, don't think i can get it back for a reasonable price :( ).

Keep on groovin!
