Hello!

Post by Deuce » Wed Nov 21, 2007 8:03 pm

Hello lads

I just got my reply after filling out the application, so now on to answering the questions.

My name's Tyler. I'm a college student right now in Daytona Beach, working on a bachelor's in Aerospace Engineering. I've been flying sims since i was about ten, and in real life for about a year and a half. Don't really have much online time, still trying to get used to checking my six every ten seconds :D I'm decent at carrier ops, but my dogfighting skills are a little rough. Anyways, the FI have a great reputation in the forums, and I'm looking forward to flying with you. Thanks.

You not related to Duece Bigelow, are you?

Anyway warm welcome to the FI! Always nice to see fresh meat, (ahem, cough, couch)I mean new members like you. If you like sheep, wainscotting, cows, ferrets, Irish Soap, and a good sense of humour you should fit right in. And as a fellow beach boy I give you the thumbs up. 8) If you should have any questions feel free to ask the boys here. If you want to know about cows, naked women or Centrifugal Effects on the Human Mind, I'm your guy.

Sorry mate, you're over qualified. Move along.
I've been flying sims since i was about ten, and in real life for about a year and a half.
So you fly sims in real life now? Does that mean you were virtually flying virtual sims before?

So all those pay-offs finally worked, huh?

Welcome to the forums Duece!

You can usually find a few :FI: or =FI= members in HyperLobby throughout the week.

On Friday nights at 9ET we fly co-ops and dogfights that are hellafun.

On Sundays is the big squadron bash.

You'll need our TeamSpeak addy and password ... which, erm, I don't have at the moment.

Great first post Tyler. This is Thanksgiving week. I don't know how big the crowds will be, but remember, half our members don't know what that is anyway.

Sorry that AltarBoy was your first member to meet and ... oh dog! ... I was your second!!

Oh well, someone relatively normal and partially sane should turn up pretty soon.

(EDIT: Snaphoo snuck in there. See? He's uhh ... kinna normal.)

See you in the skies,

Falcon

Sorry, AB, no relation :(

Ah, wainscoting... I don't believe we have "Interior Design" on our course list. We might have covered it in Stability and Control, though...

Thanks for the welcome, guys.

Welcome Deuce!

Hey, AB... what if you don't like wainscotting? I mean, I don't dislike it... it's just that I stand fairly neutral to it... should that be a problem??

What was that about "Interior Design" not being on the course AB?

When I first got in here I didn't know what wainscotting was. I found out and like you Phoenix I'm neutral on it.

So, Deuce, do you need an extra US$1,000? All you have to do is head down to New Orleans, sneak up on a hippie named Falcon, pull out a pair of scissors and snip off his ponytail. Whaddya say, huh?

I hope to get online soon and see you there.
