Hey leave Canada out of this (and for that matter the USA) because we have yet to colonize North America (you know where we dispossess the native population).

Firstly, what was this thread doing almost 3 pages back?!

Anyway, recently finished playing a short campaign (Med/Med) with the Britons. Really enjoyed the increased challenge using a lesser faction.

Thinking about playing the Spanish next, though I have been told they are tough (poor troops and takes a long time to get economy going). Sorry Snoop. ;)

The patch is coming this January. =D] Who knows whether there will be any addons.

Regards,
Tacitus

In my Roman history class the professor told us that Romans had all sorts of problems keeping the Spaniards under control, so maybe we will surprise you :D
The war against the Spaniards, **who, of all the nations subdued by the Romans, defended their liberty with the greatest obstinacy**, began in the year 200, six years after the total expulsion of the Carthaginians from their country, 206. It was exceedingly obstinate, partly from the natural state of the country, which was thickly populated, and where every place became a fortress ; partly from the **courage of the inhabitants**; but above all, owing to the peculiar policy of the Romans, who were wont to employ their allies to subdue other nations.
Who knows may be they are under modeled in RTW :D

Come on man, the Spanish were conquered just like all the rest.

Only the Canadians were able to withstand Rome, historically speaking of course. Though apparently they did have an outpost in Newfoundland, but found the women folk undesirable and left before winter. They did take all our cod though. :(

I have it all here in my history book, I'll read it to you sometime mate.
