News from the western front !

Post by :FI:Dutchman » Mon Apr 03, 2006 6:47 pm

It's been a while that we recieved some news from the western front.

but here it is.

last months we've encountered the German front and
we had our wins and after that the FIP was sent on a leave to rest a while.

now this month all soldiers are called back to forfill their duty in a envoirement that they have encountered before almost 6 months ago,
on operation "leathal arms realism" (LAR)

the enemy took back some terain and now it's our duty to get it back.

so this are your oders:

go to ip-coordinate 84.104.102.18 and open and allow downloads or get your lar gear from thislocation.

further remove the iw_16.iwd from your cod2/main folder and rename or replace the original iw_07.iwd in that same folder.
get rid of the GFM gear and you are good to go.

And there is also a new mapppack wich will run with the LAR mod.
you can Download it here.

Unzip them in your "activision\call of duty 2\main" Folder.

thats all for now.

I don't think you're supposed to remove iw_16.iwd and iw_07.iwd from the \main folder because they are default game files. Instead the GFM folder has copies of these files so to ensure compatibility with LAR you just delete the GFM folder with these files in it.

Also it doesn't hurt to look in your \main folder for any 3rd-party mods which may be conflicting. They're easy to spot as most will begin with ZZZ_ and the filename will describe what the mod does.

So we're making the switch to LAR huh? Looks like my bullet-dodging days are numbered! ;)
