Graham not sure if you've ordered your parts yet but I can't see any probs with these sata 3 drives working at full speed. The Asus P6p67 pro supports sata 3 so should run at full speed. overclockers.co.uk a new drive due in on wednesday. http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HD-071-O...

Re: New PC Buid
well so far it doesn't seem to make much difference. Having a card in 16x16 or 8x8 seems to produce similar results when benchmarked. http://hardocp.com/article/2010/08/23/gtx_480_sli_pcie_bandwidth_perf_x16x16_vs_x8x8/ http://hardocp.com/article/2010/08/25/gtx_480_sli_pcie_bandwidth_perf_x16x16_vs_...

Re: New PC Buid
Looking at motherboards today I noticed with a lot of boards with 2X PCIE 16X they drop in speed when running in SLI or Crossfire. Example, the board I was thinking of buying (Asus P8P67 pro) will drop from 16X to 8x per card when putting in Sli or Crossfire. Not sure how much of a problem this woul...

Re: New PC Buid
Noter was speaking with Gadje lastnight and he spoke about a new Nvidea card just released. GTX 560ti (mid range or affordable super fast GPU) For me this would be around £200 this looks to be more than you want to spend but i would really consider this card, for the price it's not too far off the p...

Re: New PC Buid
Vranac spoke about these processors lastnight. Not being an intel boy im not really up to speed with these processors but ill change to this if it's more suitable for gaming. Think the 950 is probably more suited to graphical design and rendering.
I'll have a wee look at these Sandystanes!
