Windows 7 OEM or retail
Still not really clear on the differences between the two. The biggest difference to me is the OEM is $100 and the retail is $200. That's a very big important difference to me. Any suggestions? I doubt I will be getting a second pc of any kind except when this one becomes extinct (I'd give it about ...

Re: PC Build Error
Disabled Marvel controller as suggested Mikester. I no longer get the post about "No hard disk detected", it's a quick flash of a screen that a hummingbird couldn't pick out, but am still getting the "Reboot & select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device ...

Re: PC Build Error
Thanks for the reply Sneaky. The empty HD not being bootable makes sense, but I still don't understand why I didn't get this error the first time I started the machine and why it is showing up now. I followed another guys pc build on youtube and when he started his system (without the os) he didn't ...

Re: PC Build Error
Keep reading that is seems the drive might be bad, or cables not connected, but then why would it show up and seem to be read in the BIOS, it tells me the drive name and the size. Stumped, I'm gonna keep reading and see what I can find.

PC Build Error
Nothing is ever easy....finish the build and all seems well. I boot it up and it actually boots, I was floored, I actually did it. I still don't have a Windows OS on it yet so it's just the MB info coming up on screen. As best I could tell everything was working, turned it off and came back later ju...

Re: New PC Buid
That's how it feels Falcon, great illustrative pics. I did actually turn it on, best I can tell everything seems to be working. I don't have a monitor at the moment, so I have no idea what is actually happening, but it booted up and lights and fans came on, then just shut it down.

Re: New PC Buid
Thanks guys for the advice and help. Well, I went with the EVGA GTX 560 Ti Superclocked $240 after rebate. I've got everything installed and plugged in (I hope). I have not turned it on yet, couple switches and such I'm still not sure of. ASUS P8P67 Pro mb TPU Switch- optimize system for fast stable...

Re: New PC Buid
Returned previous start on pc build and just picked up new stuff this week. Actually with all the talk on CoD being so negative, considered not doing the build. But there seemed enough positive, plus there's some other decent stuff out there to justify a new rig. Hell, maybe I can at least play IL2 ...

These Guys Are Nuts
These guys are crazy, my stomach is in my throught just watching it on the screen. The second link is the bike race, I kept tilting my head back like I could see the path better. And that is one lucky dog. http://www.angelfire.com/ak2/intelligencerreport/scariest_path.html http://www.angelfire.com/a...

Re: Hello
Welcome, Ohio huh. It ain't so bad, but it is very boring to drive through, plus the different speed limits 65,70,65,55,70, pick a speed already. Where abouts in Ohio? I've got loads of family in Cincinnati and Dayton. You do have the best amusement park in the world in Cedar Point. Still trying to ...

Re: New PC Buid
You must've been quick on the draw, those pro models are gone. Looks like the M models aren't as good and too small for legit video and the higher end stuff is just getting too expensive. Just gonna have to wait a couple more days (or weeks) for the next batch to be released.

Re: New PC Buid
Can you explain the differences in all the ASUS P8P67...the M, M-Pro, LE, Deluxe? Prices are different, but the overview they seem to offer the same stuff, a bit baffled.
