Re: Libya 1941
You picked a fun one Frank! Performance should be smooth, even with lots of action. Love that early plane set.

Re: New PC Buid
You have 800 watts and this only requires (recommends) 500 watts. As we discussed companies leave a good margin in their power estimates. For example, my GTS 240 (OEM) is recommended to have 450 watts but runs fine with a 350 watt PSU. Notwithstanding, no harm in oversizing the power, especially for...

Noter is building a new rig! =D] Congrats Matthew. Being awful sneaky with regard to the misses. Love it! Truly the game plan of a husband and father. I might have done similar things back in the day (of course not nowadays :^o ). If you run out of parts just grab what you need from your Xbox. [-X T...

Melting Canadians? [-X Even along the coast of the Maritimes (and especially a little in land) it has been very humid and hot for what seems like forever. Was in Fredericton the other day and it was 29C with no wind. Even along the coast here in Saint John it has been really warm/hot for our tempera...

Re: The Pacific
I suspect HBO Canada will have the series, albeit maybe not until it completely airs on its parent station. I intend to purchase it on Blu-ray.

Re: The Pacific
The Pacific first showing was very realistic, but i was disappointed that it went so fast into combat without detailing the characters as in Band of Brothers, well see how it goes . Haven't seen it yet up here in Canada. My only comment is that I believe they intend to "detail" the charact...

The Pacific
Just in case you don't know, HBO (US) will be airing a similar mini-series as Band of Brothers but set in the Pacific. Same executive producers I believe. Brothers, I thought, was very well done. Actually just finished watching them on Blu-ray with my son. Pacific should be very interesting. I belie...

Re: Operation Flashpoint Dragon Rising Weekend Deal at Steam
My son played this on the Xbox. While the PC version is no doubt better, my impression was that it was a dumb down version of Arma II. At first it feels like a simulator, and I suppose it is to a degree, but the AI doesn't measure up. Online with only humans seemed more intense. Think a simple Arma ...

Stu, like Douglas MacArthur, "I Shall Return." Historic Encounters remains my most treasured leisure pursuit. My absence is no reflection of my enjoyment of the session and the laughs with the lads. I waited as long as I could before purchasing a new PC. With high school kids we needed a n...

Re: This Works For Me!
Not yet mate. Maybe the guys have mentioned, I have purchased a new PC and recently received a TIR5 (previously enjoyed a TIR3). Still need to grab a new headset. After that I need to make sure that all this works properly under Windows 7 and with my PSU (just a 350w). Presently playing Empire: Tota...

"To use SMP Seesaw, your computer must have exactly two processors or cores, and you must be running Windows NT, 2000, 2003, or XP." Assuming this to be correct at their site, Quad Core or Windows 7 users need not apply? I have read over at SimHQ that no appreciable difference has been fou...

How are you doing Gadje? Thank you for your reply. Perhaps these changes have been made in the last year or two mate? I readily admit that its been some time since I really flew German planes. Great to hear about these changes.
