Excellent Aircraft Guides for Cliffs of Dover
http://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16592 These are great- we are finally getting the documentation and guides that should have shipped with the game in the first place. The author, Chuck, has made learning these aircraft much simpler and easier, even to the point of telling...

Re: New computer, IL-2 doesn't work
Just to bring you up to date, BTW, I'm not sure if any of us are even playing il2 right now. Most folks seem to be playing Battle of Stalingrad on Sundays, while Helo, McBiggles and myself tend to play Cliffs of Dover on Friday nights. If you want to join us on teamspeak this Friday it would be grea...

Re: New computer, IL-2 doesn't work
Hey Willie! Good to hear from you. The only thing I can suggest trying is to look at the game's .exe properties- set it to "run as administrator" and try some of the compatibility modes. Otherwise, I hope somebody more knowledgeable than myself (Sneaky?) will see this and offer better advi...

I use the Fighterstick, ProPedals, and Throttle, but not the Quadrant. No problems to report yet.

It sounds like you are using the wrong 7zip app. Try what Sneaky suggests.
We'll be on TS this evening if you want to try a talk-through. It would be great if you could join us for a little ClOD flying.

Re: Suddenly Cannot Host
Yes the particular ip in question was the "IPv4 address" listed in ipconfig. This needed to match the server ip address in the port forwarding page. I later talked to Dan and we were able to get him set up to host as well- he needed to disable port triggering.

Re: Suddenly Cannot Host
If I type my default Gateway (10.0.0.1) into my my browser, the page doesn't load. I have since learned that I need to call comcast and have someone there grant permission to access the router settings. My IP has not changed since I re-installed windows. I also have il2 showing as allowed in my fire...

Suddenly Cannot Host
With help from Mikester, I have been able to host il2 sessions. I no longer use my own wireless router. I went with just using the router/modem provided by comcast, and it has been working fine for some time until just a couple of weeks ago when I needed to replace my motherboard and main hard drive...

Re: Il2 - Painless patching
Thanks, that at least provides some guidance on how we might trouble shoot this issue. The new version of HSFX is being worked on as we speak so hopefully that will solve this. However, if he has this same issue with HSFX we'll know where to start looking for a solution.

Re: Il2 - Painless patching
I've been using SAS Modact with no real problems, but Dan hasn't been able to get it working at all- he gets a "not a valid 32 bit application" error whenever he tries running Modact. Any thoughts, Sneaky?

Re: Il2 Sturmovik 4.12 Patch Release
Running OK for me on separate installs, including one I just added that uses SAS Modact. Now, if I could just find a pack that adds all the missing maps from HSFX. The maps are the only thing I would like to have, otherwise I think this patch is a keeper. They really have given the interface a makeo...

I'd never ride her in shorts, always full gear. I wear jeans going to work and change into my work shorts. Next investment will be Olympia riding overpants. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/14/67/908/38490/ITEM/Olympia-Airglide-3-Mesh-Tech-Over-Pants.aspx Mods so far to the Bike (Red Molly) incl...
