Re: RoF coops Wed 05/01/11

Not sure how but I will have a look in the morning. It is one of the easiest games to sort out for controls tbh. Mixture, rads, something for dropping a bomb, and another to cock the guns and you are pretty much good to go. You can alter the response curves of your controller but you are better of s...

Re: Version 4.10

I downloaded the patch, extracted to a new folder on desktop called 4.10 Vanilla and dropped that into the JSGME folder in IL2. I can switch between HSFX and clean 4.10 in JSGME and it looks like its working. It does get a bit funky if you forget to disable 4.10 before switching back to HSFX but the...

Re: Version 4.10

To recap then,

its not that good, the cat is going to get kicked repeatedly as I try to install it and there is going to have to be a new HSFX update that will probably involve more cat kicking sometime in the near future.

Sounds good, where does one sign up ?

Re: Sunday 3rd October

Good idea with the Tempests Neil. The P47 is just about in a class of its own up high but you really feel the weight at the heights we typically fly in coops. In contrast the Tempest is at its best at medium altitudes. The wing tipping thing is a a nice thought but in game I have never got it to wor...

Without wanting to put not too fine a point on it I'd rather pluck the hairs off a dead dogs arse....with my teeth.

Re: G Stick III Plus

If they have got the calibration right it should address the issues short throw sticks inevitably have. should be a real plus for RoF and IL2 in terms of replicating the original 'feel'.

FSX

A well meaning but misguided relation bought me a copy of Flight sim X gold edition as a gift (no f'ing receipt of course). I already have a copy of FSX deluxe edition as a dust catcher on the shelf. If anyone hasn't got this and would like a copy for the knock down price of nowt let me know. I thin...

Re: Which is best for SSD?

Your access demands should be on the application that needs to pull data from the HDD so I would expect the best scenario to have your programs on the SSD drive. Where I have seen people talking about using SSD's they seem to have them as a seperate storage area for programs with their OS on the mai...

Sundays is 7.30 BST. Wednesdays about the same for IL2.

Not much IL2 of a Thursday unless Gadje et al are mooching about.
