Re: January 20th, 2013
I have written some missions using MDS in the past. A couple of observations: if the flight distances are long the action gets very sporadic as the mission progresses, whereas in a coop you get lots of planes coming together the action with MDS is smaller dogfights. A way round that is to reduce the...

Re: January 20th, 2013
I'd vote for Kuban if it means shorter flights, plus easier navigation

Re: January 20th, 2013
Well I enjoyed it. There were only 4 FI who took part - more would have been better - and DCG gives good missions as a rule. First was a good one. I got involved in huge furball escorting Larry and Frank, managed to survive, they did their mission and shot down some blue bombers as well. Second was ...

Re: Sunday 28th October
I have 2 IL2 missions written, both on NW Europe map. One flying red in P51's, and blue in Dora's and 262's.
Just need a few minutes to finish the blue mission brief.

Sunday 28th October
I have a couple of suggestions for Sunday for IL2 fans. Some of you may have noticed a news story about William Walker who died this week - he was the oldest surviving RAF pilot from the Battle of Britain and was 99 when he passed away ^:| He flew with 616 Squadron (South Yorkshire) which was the ca...

Norway winter map, Arctic convoy 1942, Sea Hurricanes take off from escort CV and fly CAP over large convoy. Germans attack in Ju88's and 110's...

Re: One for Richard
Really sorry to hear that Richard. I have something called transverse myelitis - a lesion in the cervical spine in my case rather than the brain as in MS - and I've been struggling a bit with that of late. Glad to hear Nicola's improved enough to come home. Hope you still managed a smile at the joke?

One for Richard
One late afternoon, after a hard day in the courts, a solicitor was riding home in his large Jaguar motor car when he saw two men kneeling at the road-side eating grass. Concerned at what he saw he stopped his car and went to investigate. He said to one man " Why are you eating grass ?" &q...
