Yep, was gonna mention it to... only needs a "+1!" (IL-4)
Also didn't see the LaGG-3.
Think the skins you already have here will also work for the I-16 Type 18 and the older Yak-1 (backup plane if we lose all the Yak-1b's).

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
Gotta weigh in here since this little topic has annoyed me for a while. First a disclaimer: I always try to follow the rules; haven't vulched in the Moscow campaign & won't be doing it! However, I've never understood why so many in the IL-2 community consistently DISCOURAGE behavior (in a combat...

Re: Boston bombings
We should know more soon... rumor is that an arrest has been made. Also heard that security camera across the street from one bomb site captured full face image of one person dropping off something & leaving. Ironically I heard that a somewhat well known Israeli - also a security expert of some ...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
Thanks for all the info again, Nephris. Now that I had a chance to review the recordings a bit, couple more comments / questions. 1) Cycling through Shift-F2 views, there are no "friendly" ground cameras viewable to us on the Red side. Cycling through Ctrl-F2 there are 2 "enemy" ...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
Nephris, thanks for the route map above - very useful. It's so good I would suggest creating such a map at the start of each campaign in the future if you can. Mother Russia is still licking her wounds from the lashing we took on Sunday. If we "did well," I have no idea how that happ...

Re: The ongoing JG42 war
It all sounds & looks good from what I can tell, Nephris. Thanks for the transfers! I notice your side was resupplied with some Hs-129s too - a new opponent for us huh? Hopefully the AI won't be too badly affected, and maybe we will all learn something by trying these manual transfers for a bit....

Re: JG42 Moscow Campaign FI Skins (Winter)
Outstanding as usual, Frank. I'd love a set with #41 on them, sir. Nose art's always nice as well if you've got it handy. (Blue 2 ball on the fighers in this case for me, I think.) Hmm... I also really dig the cool cyrillic writing they did on the sides of some Russian planes. Don't worry abo...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Nephris, I for one am fine with skipping this Sunday for Easter. I'll be hosting family here, so likely won't make all of Sunday's session if we do fly something. Also fine if everyone agrees to fly - I'll just take a weekend pass back in Moscow. ;) Sunday was fun as usual - thanks again for your co...

Re: January 20th, 2013
That's a good point Armitage, maybe we should consider some transfers. My problem is I can't recall where each of our planes are based - only some of them. Nephris, is there some way we could see a list of this? Could you post it perhaps.... a list showing the airfield's grid location and the types ...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Is "random" the only other choice? I thought you could set DCG to fly something like say, 2, 3 or 4 missions per day, in chronological order, between certain hours...? Maybe that's just with coop-type missions though? I have no idea really - last campaign was too long ago to recall. If tha...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Beacons are still cool to have available even if we don't use 'em a lot. Might be helpful in dawn/dusk missions or during rare bad weather missions if we ever have any. I'd be happy without the meacons though - navigation's hard enough on this winter map even WITHOUT any deception! Radio towers woul...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Google deserves an Oscar for best comedian effort this evening for that translation Very true, Nephris! Along with being really helpful, that Q &A above does have several funnies in it. I enjoyed this one the most: Reconnaissance (Fieseler Storch, FW189, runway bitch, R10) looking attractive ta...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Neprhis, Question: Does the gray-colored parachute on the map indicate the place where a parachute drop WILL take place in the next mission, or the place where a parachute drop HAS ALREADY occurred in the mission just completed? One more thing. In the second mission on Sunday, I tried twice to fly a...

Re: January 20th, 2013
Hi Nephris. Thanks again for all the excellent work on the missions, mate, and for the extra trouble of doing stats. Sunday was a difficult day for the FI. I believe more of us should have weighed in with opinions about switching to a dogfight server. It's our own fault that we didn't, though. :FI:H...
