Inexpensive ammo is key. The first rifle I ever bought was a Ruger M77.257 from a friend of a friend. Excellent rifle, but I was dropping about $1 every time I pulled the trigger. Lesson learned.

I had my first arena match against a caster the other day. At first I was a little worried, thinking my "run backwards frantically and shoot my slightly-out-of-reach opponent in the face" wouldn't work. I started the fight with a poisoned fire damage arrow, and the silly little elf dropped...
