wish I'd found this sooner . 1 bootleg Chinese 9800 & a MSI GeForce GTX 460 HAWK "Super-OC" 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card now in the post, is a bit too late.

Is there any reason why this should work? He's not offering any explanation.

Murph: basic belief, that it would re-weld the tracks together, though I would rather suggest reballing in a good service centre.
I have one in my town, that does the magic to broken mobos, gpus, laptops...

They fixed my main board after my screwdriver cut few tracks after I was trying to have the d^mn radiator in place and clamps clicked on its posts; in another leaked condensers replaced etc.

re-flow soldered connections to cure dry joints from heating/cooling stresses.
I'll let you know if it works , or brings on a Gordon Ramsey impression.
