Graphics Drivers Incompatible With Il2?

I just updated my nvidea drivers for my GTX 260 to version 270.61. Since doing so Il2 will not load. Nothing else has been changed. If I click on any of the game icons ( I have several installations for UP, HSFX, etc.) I get the little blue "standby" circle and then nothing. Anybody here with a similar rig that's run across such a problem?
I did set a restore point, but I'd rather try to get the drivers to work, in possible.
What's the best method for rolling back the drivers to an earlier version, if it comes to that?

Have you gone to your IL-2 Setup and re-selected your current (new) driver?

The only way I'm aware of to Roll Back to the previous in W7 is to go to:
System>Device Manager>Display Adapter
Right-Click your listed Driver and select Properties.
Select the Driver tab and click the Rollback Driver button.

Or:
Re-select your driver using the Update Driver button in the same window.

Otherwise uninstall the new driver and re-install the old one?

My rule of thumb is to read up on any updates before updating. Usually if I'm not already having problems I don't update.

Murph, I had the same problem once, the fault was one of my own doing. When re-sizing the resolution in the conf.ini I set it to the wrong size (1900 x 1080, instead of 1920 x 1080), as a result il2 did the same thing your reporting. Worth a looksee.

I ended up uninstalling the new driver and reinstalling an older one. I had to give up Nhancer in favor of nvidiainspector, but it works now.
As far as the resolution goes, I'll try to remember to check that next time- perhaps the new driver had issues with the particular resolution I use for Il2 (1200x900) which is not the same as my desktop resolution. I forgot that sometimes new drivers need to be "allowed" to use different resolutions.
