Widescreen settings w/ Windows 7

Post by :FI:COM » Mon Feb 08, 2010 11:02 pm

Gents.

I reinstalled IL2 4.07, brought it up to 4.09, vanilla, and with Windows 7, I've lost about two inches (that's what the Missus says) on either side of my widescreen. Yeah, I did
the config. file conversion to 1920/1200, but to no avail. Two questions:

1. User account control settings- I tried to change this so that fondling the config. file would not be "denied". That didn't work.

2. Is 1920/1200 wide enough, or is that sooo last summer, technically?

Kent, ole bean! ;)

Have you already tried to edit the conf.ini file manually? If you´d like to it should look like the following lines in order to get the full width of the screen while being in the cocpit (and not the game HUD) ...

Code: Select all

[window]
width=1920
height=1200
ColourBits=32
DepthBits=24
StencilBits=8
ChangeScreenRes=1
FullScreen=1
DrawIfNotFocused=0
EnableResize=0
EnableClose=1
SaveAspect=0
Use3Renders=0
Hope this helped, m8 ... :)

Just ran into this while upgrading entirely too much shyte, too.

Modified the resolution in [Window] Height and Width. It not only cleared up the issue in-game, but in the GUIs as well.

Thanks for the tip, Frank! =D]
