Just a song

Post by :FI:Airway » Sat Jan 30, 2010 9:26 pm

I just wanted to mention a song tonite.
Ignore it if you don't like.

I dedicate this to the 38th anniversary of "Bloody Sunday"

Planxty (Christy Moore) - Only Our Rivers Run Free

Thank you for the song. I haven't heard this one before.

I like "The West Coast of Claire" very much..

Usually I don't like Christy Moore singing, very much, but this one's a great version of the song

Just was handed another song, uploaded on youtube.

Áine Ní Dhroighneáin - Siúl a Rún

I discovered Áine Ní Dhroighneáin first time on Youtube with her song 'Imithe le Gaoth'

After a research for more details about song and singer I got very detailed information from
RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.
I was confirmed that this lovely song was recorded on a contest on the "Iris Aniar" programme on RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta.

Now someone who might be in contact with Áine, replied to one of my mails and told me that she is recording a debut CD.
Will be ready at the end of the year, maybe.
He also sent me the link to the first video and will keep me updated.

I like her singing definitely.
