New Spitfire MkXIV over Newport

Post by :FI:Falcon » Wed Apr 15, 2009 10:18 pm

Spitfire Mk.XIVc/e

Image

Using the default skin by NightShifter as a guide, I'm starting a new template. Lots of changes from the mark ... whatever. The mk.VIII is the closest.

I'll make it gray and green. Any ideas as to markings, camo, whatever?

Sorry, can't fix the crackle in the engine,

Falcon

Here is a link to WINGS PALETTE, don't know if you use this site for camo/paint scheme reference for your skins/templates. The site has several Mk14 paint/camo themes.

Spitfire Mk.XIVc

Just tossing it out there.

Looking forward, as always, to your completed skin.

i've managed to reduce the in cockpit engine crackle a lot by reducing the effects and master volume in the game control panel Stu.

Thanks Pat, I had lost the link to WINGS PALLET. :)

~~~
Thanks Richard, that helped a good bit.
Even though the Mk XIV is becoming an orphan rather quickly, it may be used again ... someday.
Still uber WIP ...
Once again the stock/default has many errors; not wee silly rivet errors, but fairly noticeable line, detail and panel incongruencies. I'll try to reduce those.
Thats coming together very nicely Stu. I know there is divided opinion over this Spit but the XIV is becoming one of my favourite allied rides so I'll be a happy customer when you're done.
I'll let its detractors answer that.
I think a few have had computer problems after installing it, others can't get a grip on its handling. After chasing an AI D11 up to 10K meters and catching it Im liking it even more.
Ready for deployment ...
... any codes, rounds, nose art available. Ser. no. is date of membership.
Send example/profile if you want historic codes/camo.
Fits the Mk.XIVc ~SpitfireMkXIVC~ folder. The clip wing E mark, ~SpitfireMkLFXIVE~ works with some graphic anomalies on wings.
Cheers mate!
Up there the world is divided into bastards and suckers. Make your choice.
That's not flying, that's just falling with style.
What is that mountain goat doing way up here in the clouds?
Death is just nature's way of telling you to watch your airspeed.
Hey, everybody — watch this!
I am not afraid of crashing, my secret is . . . just before we hit the ground, I jump as high as I can.
