FIS V BgAF 4

Post by :FI:Gadje » Wed Jun 04, 2008 12:45 am

Raven asked if we would be interested in another slaughter<cough> squad matchup this coming Sunday 7.00pm GMT.
They will host and they will fly blue this time he said. I told him we were doing some new Co-ops this week but he asked me to ask you. Maybe we could try the following week if people are interested ? Some practice in a FIS machine match after the Co-ops might be a good idea before we take them on again. #-o

Danger Dogs are looking for a fight too.

:D
Thanks for posting the planeset Crash.

Looks like not everyone is happy though. Unless the guys are serious and we could try a Buffalo v Me-262 match ;)

I dont think its too bad myself. Just that same number of choices should be available for both teams.
Seafire and Zero match up ok. The Seafire( low alt version)is faster low the Zero up high.
The Hellcat and Ki-100 too. The Yankee is faster high and the Japanese a bit faster below 3k. Although ammo advantage goes to the Ki big time :) turn time is similar enough to make the difference down to pilot skill for both sets #-o 8-[

The Ki-43 weighs the low fight too heavily for blue as it outturns everything and we all know the fight usually ends up low and slow.

The floatplane :? Guess '=BgAF=Captain Birdseye' asked for that one? :D

I would suggest leaving out the last two and making it a Zero, Ki-100 v Seafire low, Hellcat match. Or find suitable matchups for red for the Ki-43 and the A6M-2.

Any other ideas FI ?

Well, last night we tested the map and it turned out to be a pretty evenly matched fight ;) But there is still time . S!
We can put the buffalo, if you still dont like you can be blue :)

We are about to start a new campaign this coming Sunday, we had planned to fly for the allies. In this campaign we are using the historically correct plane set for the Solomons, Allies F4F-4, F4U-1,F6F-5,P-38G( J ) P-39D, P-40E and P-47C. Axis A6M2, A6M3, KI 42-II and KI 61-I. A dog fight server with this plane set would be of useful to us; and I'm sure we could put one together fast enough. I guess y'all wouldn't fancy that plane set though.

Just like to say sorry to Crash and the other BgAF for the FIS no-show last night :(

I'm mainly to blame, as I started this thread I should have just made a decision to cancel due to the new co-ops and try for another date. When I joined TS and HL the FI were waiting for our co-ops to start and you boys had a BgAF v FI server up in HL with only BgAF and Mikester in it! ( I tried to join but didn't know the password as Mike was away from TS!)

So apologies again guys I realise it must have been very frustrating setting it up and waiting for us...pretty rude really. If we try this again (if you can be bothered!) we should confirm on both sides that it is going ahead a day or two before and not just wait to see who wants to do it or not on the day
