Another shot of the same plane.

Beautiful Gripen.

Albatrosz were the most numerous airplanes there.

A nice performance from this restored (I forgot the name of the) plane

That restored plane is the Red Bull DC-6. Our military called them C-54's.

Beautiful old birds they were and still are. I flew a lot of miles in one that participated in the Berlin Airlift. It was only about 30 years old then.

They're unpressurized so they had to slug it out with the weather when things got tough. they can't fly over the big storms. We had some wild rides in the Southeastern US during the summer thunderstorm months.

The Red Bull guys rebuilt that plane over a 3-4 year period I think. She's better than new now. :D

Nah, they used Willie as a weight distribution sandbag.

More great pics, Boris. I like the MiG-29. :)

Yea, me too. It was a great experience. The whole airshow was great. Unfortunately, the only thing missing were Russians. The Russian Knights were invited but they didn't come. Then there were some rumours that a single Su-27 will participate but it also didn't.

Yeah, Gripen is beautiful. And seeing some 6 Gripens taxiing one after another and than flying in formation was awsome.

As I said eariler I also made many video clips. They are very big in size so I'll have to see what I can do in order to resize them or something and then, if I succeed I'll upload them on youtube...

Wow! I'd love to see a SU-27 do the Cobra technique. I don't think any NATO aircraft could do that.

Well I have read somewhere that there is a possibility that some western planes can do the Cobra maneuver (F-22 for example) but those are, by my opinion, pure speculations. Only Su-27 series and MiG-29 can do that...

I do have an SEL pilot's certificate. Medical and BFR are expired. Haven't flown in over 10 years now. :?

I was cargo in the C-54.
