As Scott said - looks fantastic, but sounds terrible!

I know those WW1 engines didn't put out many HP but in an open cockpit plane I would have expected more noise. I hope that improves.

The 6DOF track IR looks fantastic and this game might persuade me to buy it.

Still messing about with Over Flanders Fields (WW1 mod for CFS3) and if any of you have CFS3 lying around (and you have the patience to download OFF) it's worth a look as freeware.

CFS3? Are you nuts? The worst game I ever bought. I'm still seething after all those years. How could any developer move from one of the greatest sims (CFS2) to that level I'll never know.

:x

Now where's me laxatives?

As far as CFS3 is concerned I agree 100% - worst flight sim in recent years. But Over Flanders Fields is basically a completely new game and works pretty well. The download is hefty - about 1GB in total plus patches - so your bandwidth down in Trinidad could be a problem. But if you want some WW1 action until KOTS is out then you could do a lot worse than this freeware.

I finally got to view the movie and it looks great. It is built on a modified IL2/FB engine so it is sure to have great multiplayer!! It even looks better than IL2 not at the level of BOB but good enough. I'm looking forward to the reviews.

I believe they ended up not going with the IL-2 engine. Could be wrong though.

I read that somewhere also. There was an article (SimHQ?) a few weeks ago and the developers said they had decided to write a new game engine.

Yeah, I think I've seen it somewhere on SimHQ, too. I hope the new game engine will rock and run well, and the game will be fantastically wonderful and lovely.
