Well I think I've finally got it sorted-I kind of combined ideas from Doc's and other's maps with some of my own.
Doc, where does one get the nice .pdfs diagramming all the button assignments? I have looked through everything that came with the control manager software, but can't find them.
If I had one complaint about the CH gear, it's that the programming software, while incredibly versatile, is not exactly intuitive or easy to learn how to use.

My only hangup now is that I can't seem to get both toebrakes to work- only the left one.

In IL-2 only one works ... one or the other, pick + or -.

I could've sworn I had both working in an earlier profile, though I have'nt been able to replicate it using any of my old profiles- odd.

First time for everything. Here's how it's done;
First copy and paste this into your control manager/CM editor/CMS script file between the words "script" and "endscript";

IF ([JS3.A1 > JS3.A2]) then
CMS.A1 = JS3.A1; // Left Toe Brake
ELSE
CMS.A1 = JS3.A2; // Right Toe Brake
endIf

Then go to CMS Controls and click on the upper left hand dot in the "axis" block.
Click "DX mode" and assign "CM Device 3" and "R Axis".
Make sure the left and right toes brake axes under "pro Pedals" are assigned to X and Y axis, respectively, and that "centered" is unchecked.
Save and download the now modified map.
Start Il2 and go to controls- under HOTAS, set either toe brake for brakes and right foot forward for rudder (you probably already know this).
You should now have brakes for both feet.
