:FI:Falcon wrote:Dear Sir,

I must protest the obvious bomber-centric nature of this week's screenshots!

Twenty-six pics of Pe-2's and IL-2s floppin' and wallowin' around

and only seven exciting shots of the heroic fighters savin' the world!

Yours Truly,

Yes, indeed you´re right, Lord High Uber General Sir Falcon "Pip Pip" Ferrettonshire-Smythe (Ret)!

I really do apologise this shameful action by myself and I can hope for merciful forgiveness, Mylord. As you might know I am a little sheep in the face of our God and I didn´t know any better ...

Is there a way that you´ll ever forgive me, Mylord? Or will you ban me out of your group of elite pilots and ... start to take screenshots of your very own?

Yours devotedly,

Funny you should mention this dear Frank baby. See I'm involved in this little thing on Friday nights and we have an opening for an uber screen shot guy like yourself. The pay is lousy but we will treat you right my friend. Of course that pilot (we won't speak his name) saves the world there too, so things might not be much better. ;)

Nothing wrong with the bias of the pics on the front page, the less pictures of me going down in flames the better :o

Alright, you princes of Maine, you kings of New and old England, you flippin' herd of mangy cats ...!

Tac and the HE boys have flown several test missions and at least four co-ops on Friday and experienced not the slightest studder, not the least lamenting lag, not the weest wag o'warp with all flyin' custom skins!

He can tell you the technical stuff about DCG, mission set-up and the hamster thing but it essentially came down to this:

Everyone use only the FIdefault and custom skins provided in the skin packs,

use no custom pilots, (except Gen can use Winston),

or everyone can use Winston,

[ ... Never in the field of human conflict were so many Churchills ... ]

and if you don't have the proper skin, then turn skins OFF.

It works.

So, if you guys would like to try this again, let's do it. I don't have it in me to MAKE you guys do it like Mama Tac over at the HE, but if you want this, it can work.

Sounds great - but if we switch to flying two teams today, how do we tell friend from foe if all are flying with FI skins? :(

I have redone 3 missions for Stalingrad to be based on red v blue, but I have still got all the single side v AI missions if we want to fly them instead? As long as I get to do some flying I really don't mind.

And I love John Irving's books Falcon - you a fan also?

Yeah, we are doin' more pvp stuff. Well, Noter, Snaphoo, Gen, Sneaky and I could do a new paint scheme set for all 3000 skins to new "adversary" colors. It shouldn't take more than a day or two.

Or ...

well, whatever. Set up any missions you want. If one or both sides want to use the FI skins, it will work as long as everyone either uses them or turns skins off. Just a heads up.

John Irving? Not recently. Not enough pictures. That's what's taking me so long to finish Trev's book. ;)

I liked The Cider House Rules. The World According to Garp was a great movie.

On next Sunday I won´t unfotunately be around to fly with you (social commitments). Therefore I can´t record the flights (.ntrk and eventlog.lst) ... :(

Is there somebody who can do this for me and send me the files?

Ty for you attention, folks! ^:)

Yeah! Why not?

As you know, Gadje, I still need my time of kicking butts/getting my own butt kicked on a DF server, too. I´d really love to host some good DF missions if I had got some good ones only ... :?

Ty for your reply, Graham! ^:)
