Flyboys Movie

Post by Airhawk14 » Wed Sep 27, 2006 12:24 am

I saw flyboys the other day and loved it. It was a really great movie all about fighter pilots in WW1. It is a little generic, but it is so intense that you will not even notice it. I will not say anything to those of you who have not seen it yet though. It is really good and worth your money, and is probrably my favorite movie( topgun was my previous favorite). Hope you guys like it. :)

Me too Doc. I think it will be enjoyable, and another addition to my DVD war collection, but just not interested enough to take the family to the movies ('cause they'll whine if I didn't  ). Heck its not like Hollywood is making a lot of flight combat movies these days. Love the era. Maybe it will get me all excited for Knights of the Skies.

Actually Tom Cruise in the works on a Marine WWII flying movie, and Lucas is working a movie about the Tuskeegee guys, hopefully better than the HBO one. It's somethin'

Being a historical nutjob I found this movie a bit too much on the fantasy side. If you view it as purely entertainment then I guess it's ok.

If Tommy boy is in a WW2 movie. He'll probably shoot down 100 Zeroes, have time to fly to Berlin and drop one on fatboy Goring and make it back for Oprah in time. Bah, Hollywood!
