Hey Helo

I've been around about the same time as you and only managed around 450 - but then I always say it's quality not quantity that counts - at least that's what I tell my good lady :lol:

The "Beast" is a pleasure to skin. I wish there were more walkaround photos and drawings though. I need to do more guessing about some panels and rivets than I like.

Not at all, Spitz! Your jobby looks great. Have you acquired any useful texture layers yet? They help getting that smooth and cudly look fixed.

Check the files at:

http://www.pigyn.com/falcon/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I think the two files are named textures02.rar and textures02psd.rar

the first one is for PSP users.

Try them out one at a time and in different combinations. Start at low opacities and causiously work them up.

After some more research, I altered the markings to be similar to the German's. Wasn't far off from the get go, plus the numbers are right side up and not reversed...

Noter,

Great stuff. Um, but since you're so mean to me may I point out that the rounds are back'erds on dah wing?

And ...

wiffout burning holes in the fuselage, do the rounds need to be softened a bit?

Juss axin'!

~~~
Holy flippin' freakole! Now I know why Spitz left the Ju-88 for something more reasonable.
The mapping on the '88 looks like a Rubik's Cube on acid!!!
Look!
Reminds me of one of my girlfriends in college.
Sheesh, it's gonna take me a week or more just to make sense of it all!
Okay Oleg, take Picasso OFF the payroll!!!
Done...Uh...I meant, close to done, I was so freaked by the rounds on the fuselage (they're not just oval they're egg shaped) I didn't pay much attention to the wings (they came out as nice circles).
Can definitely take the roundels down some more, they were so strong on the first attempt, bring them down my normal amount... still wasn't enough, brought them down more, just vibrant on this one I guess.
OMFlippin'G!!!
I've been workin' all flippin' week on this flippin' template and I'm STILL flippin' finding flippin' bent, warped, shuffled, folded, duplicated and misplaced areas in the flippin' model!
Kids!
Don't try skinnin' this flipper at home!
Image
More than twenty hours on this thing and this is all I have so far.
...
I think I'll try mission building ... or maybe disarming IED's instead.
This fing is such a flippin' mess that it doesn't deserve any more work on it,
Image
but since I'm such a nice, liberal, tree huggin' freak I'll finish up the thousand or so details left and chip it and dirty it up a bit.
Then, I don't want to set eyes on it again!
Hmph!
