why dont they just make 2000 cores right now, slap an industrial cooling system to it and call it a day.

Just to keep this tech talk going - noticed last week that those looking at Dell for a possible Storm of War machine now offers folks the option of building (and not just customizing) your own machine (link to Canadian site - http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/product ... l=en&s=dhs" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;).

Can't comment on cost, which I suspect is higher than if one went directly to the wholesalers, but still interesting development on Dell's part. Also noticed that they are expanding their help centre and hiring a lot more software engineers. Can someone say Vista maybe? ;)
