Recruit reporting for bootcamp, sirs.

Post by Kitty » Sun Aug 07, 2005 3:48 pm

Hi gang,
I got myself the game now (CoD Deluxe Edition), a new computer system and a fluffy very comfy headset.

So all that's left for me is to find a nice platoon to team up with online and have fun!

I already fly with the Fighting Irish, so I guess that this is the logical next step.

I wonder if we'll go naval as well, seeing that many play Silent Hunter III.

So here is my request to be transfered for duty in the Fighting Irish Platoon. If you don't sign me up sir, then I just have to shoot you and claim your position and sign myself up :P

Oh, in the few military themed games I played online I usually picked the medic/support, so that would be my first choice.

It's so great to shoot your team mate and then heal 'm back up, and they even thank you for it. Isn't it great? Of course the draw back is that everyone seems to open fire on the medics first, guess my masochistic nature is showing there.

Hope this post is more clear than the blabbering I did in the session thread

She´s back! She´s back again! And this time with more power than ever before ...

He, Kitty! :)

Welcome to the pub! Long time no see ... it seems that you found a way to solve your xyz* problems ... :D

Well, I´m a lucky guy because I´m in the comfortable situation not to be the chap who´s responsible to let you in/out. I hope you don´t mind if I stand beside and watch what will happen while I´m drinking my next pint, Kitty?

Sláinte, Kitty! Meow!

Heya wonderful nutters!

Gen, I think right now I have done everything I could to solve the problems, but it had a bit of a tail of course. Guess what happens if you own a Geforce4 card and try to use the 'latest and greatest' drivers? Current games suddenly will claim that you do not own a DirectX 7.x compatible card, or they just spontaniously crash to desktop at startup. (CoD worked just fine ironicaly).

I was schocked/stunned that after putting my computer together, a bunch of drivers still made it impossible for me to enjoy these new games (far cry/half life 2). It also took me some time to figure out it was actually my driver. *sigh* (I had no idea it would proof such a pain to hunt down appropriate drivers for my card, tho).

Anyway, everything looks up now *fingers crossed* and I can finaly enjoy CoD AND Pacific Fighters, yay!

And by all means, watch and enjoy that pint!

Spitsfire,
Yes I love to get back into air racing, that was great stuff. As for my hands, well they're really cold, but if I fire a few rounds I'm sure it will warm them. Dont ask where the rounds will end up in tho.

Ah and I see it happen, they are not going to yell Medic medic! No, it will be, Nurse! Nurse! Oh oh ...

Don't forget the magical 42 for the hitch hikers. :D

Welcome to you too Mef!

Oh I had a quick look and all I had was morphine? So, if one gets shot all I do is give 'm morphine and he goes in a high that gets us all killed?

Hmm.

No bandages, no disinfectants, *gasp* no scissors! omg, no scissors! *runs off into the darkness on the hunt for scissors*

Scissors are great to cut into body parts and of course removal of clothing by making a small incission and then rip it apart. That way I can access the wound and treat it.

I don't know what you guys are thinking ...

btw, just for laughs I'm going to try America's Army and take the medical course. I'm just curious how much I learn in those courses and how much I can use it in CoD/CoD2. Anyone else up for AA?
