regarding Special forces - today I plaed a bit on Kubra Dam map in original Batlefield 2 - and I say : "Special Forces Expansion in nothing like original Battlefield 2" though it is good. I had great time flying as weapons operator in Cobra chopper, whole lotta fun, glad the pilot wes very good.

yep

sapper thats it

EA said tha if you have installed the latest pacht 1.2 hthan you must install it again after you have installed BF2/SF. that woked for me.

i do not know if you had to uninstall everything but that's a pretty sure way to do it.

lets meet up somewhere tehn.

Now when i think about it, BF2 SF is a big disappointment for me...

a) For some reason, every time i play SF-map (specially, that "iron gator"-map), i experience lag... I have no problems with the basic BF2.

b) There aren´t too many SF servers around (so far).

c) SF unlocks. The only usefull SF unlock is F2000. The rest are pretty pointless, imho.

The only good thing about SF, is that you can get that F2000 and flashbang grenades into BF2 servers... Flashbangs are great for blinding enemy APC´s and tanks.

To put it short: BF2 SF = A big fuss for nothing.

I also heard that to get SF unlocks into BF2, you dont even have to buy SF. All you need is a friend who has the SF. If he plays one round using your account, you get the unlocks...

Concidering the amount of trouble, BF2/EA/DICE has caused me (hours of troubleshooting), If i hadn´t already bought the SF, i could use that trick to get the unlocks into BF2 and feel no remorse what so ever, about it...

Still,

As you said Dutch, it would be great to get together for a good fight... BF2 is great for squad tactics... How about next weekend? Saturday, maybe?

I cannot disagree with you ,Sapp....

SF could bebetter, now it is too much CounterStrike-like. Well, the lag thingy also happens here.

I find original BF2 more demanding when it comes to squad tactica and use of the comander feature.

Anyway, I'm glad I bought the Expansion - still the new maps are fun, not all of them, The iron Gator is crap IMHO, but still.....

I would love to play some BF2 the FI way :)

try it ,guys, next weekend, I'll beaway but you can do initial tests:)

Well, we alrady have tried it with Greg, Barra and our wounded Conrad. And it was fun:)

And the maps..

Kubra Dam in 64 players versin is massive!!!!!!

Have recently got the expansion and I like some of the maps Warlord is me favourite..no planes/helecopters.
Am going for ribbons and badges, which I find addictive.

Still here!

Although lately i´ve been experiencing some stress because of my work, so i haven´t played for ages... From the last 30 days, i´ve spendt only 9 days at home and stuff like that... Luckily things are quieting down for a couple of months...
Could you lie down so I can knife you...eh..could you do it 7 times..
So you are short of knife badge, too? I´m also missing an explosives badge... At one match i was one kill short of getting it :?

Say, should we concider playing as a team in the nearby future?

I´m currently with my GF´s parents for the xmas, and since their computer is one of the very earliest computers ever built, i guess installing BF2 on it is out of the question... the poor thing would melt down
