Hyperlobby Problems?

Thanks for all the help this afternoon guys. I still cannot join a game in Hyperlobby.
I am behind a router, but this has not been a problem for me in the past.
So far I have tried; Disabling and even unistalling my firewall- I reinstalled after it became apparent that this is not causing the problem, I'm just not comfortable without it.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Hyperlobby.
Someone suggested I try reinstalling PF over my current installation, but I was able to join Genosse's server by direct input of his IP, so I don't think the problem's with the game.
I have tried resetting some stuff in the HL confg.ini file (to match Genosse's, which work for him).
So far, no joy- does anyone have any other ideas? Looking at the forums in HL, it seems I'm not the only one this is happening to, but no solutions have been offered from there yet.

Let´s see ...

This is the only server that I am not able to connect with. Obviously I am able to connect to this forum or I would not be able to post this message.

Any suggestions.

File hlpro.ini contain this line:
;Predefined default address of the HL Pro Host
DefaultHost=hyperfighter.jinak.cz

It defines address of the HL server. When connection not happen, problem is:
1./ Mistaked config line
2./ Missconfigured personal firewall
3./ ISP problem
4./ Missconfigured windows
5./ Screwed windows instalation

Other problems i not have discovered ...

Temporarily uninstalling teh firewall was just to isolate that as a cause as that is where most problems lie.

There is this post on HL board

http://hyperfighter.sk/modules.php?name ... pic&t=1211" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
note the bit about detect local IP address

Personally I am running behind a router to, no problems.

At least you can join by direct IP so it eliminates any game issue.

When trying to join the game, does HL trigger PF to start?

If PF starts are you then getting the unable to find host meaage from PF

Have to go to work now....

Am still intrigued as why you have the VWF button on front page of site and not the VF button. Are you running some weird proxy/cache?

I am able to enter HL OK, but when I try to join a game, HL minimizes but does not start PF. After about 20 seconds (I have'nt actually timed it) HL restarts and I get the "welcome Murph" message, as though I had only just joined or returned after flying a mission.
My cache has been cleared, so I really can't explain why I seem to get an outdated page when I visit the site- just one of things.

Does your HL

'know' where PF is located on your HDD?

What is the key combo to set the .exe pathway to again guys?

Good thinking that man!

Hold down the "Ctrl" + "Shift" as you click connect

IF HL starts up and it can't see the file it will prompt you for the path to the executable.

If it can see the executable (even if it is the wrong one) you can still enter HL.

As a quick test I removed my il2fb.exe and created a text file called il2fb.exe :) Jumped into a DF server and I get the same symptoms... Hyperlobby minimises, the game does not start and 15 seconds later I'm back in HL.

So check HL is pointing at your il2fb.exe file or it could be your one is corrupted?

Have put a copy here just in case
http://www.pigyn.com/genosse/il2fb.exe" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I checked and it appears to be pointing at the correct place, but I had it search anyways and reset it. We can test it next time someone's around, if it still does'nt work I guess the next thing to try would be the .exe you provided, Genosse.
Could any of this have to do with the fact that I'm using the no-cd crack? It's not been a problem before but you never know...

I'm using the no cd and I know a lot of others are too. No one has mentioned any issues such as yours.

The new .exe did the trick! The old one must have been corrupted.
