ah GCSE's all i can say is you have to work HAVE to
I spent many weeks with an after school tutor for maths to just scrape the grade i wanted
Pick things you'll enjoy, ask ppl who have just done the subjects ur interested in for advice, i did geography and business studies :)

Well, most of the people who I know who actually did it.....Well they had bachelors of computer science.
Not to be discouraging, but they were working for a quite prominent games company, that went through more than a few transfers of ownership, and it was a big headache.
I'd get the degree and go work for something more reputable, like network and word processing software companies. The games industry is pretty volitile.
