Indeed.

I did read a recent post over at UBI from a mate that went from a 9800Pro to a 6800 and only receive a few extra fps.

As pointed out, IL-2 is just a mad game, demanding lots of CPU power, fast RAM, and yes, a hard working video card.

But it's free why the worry mate? ;)

Have to be honest here m8 but the 5200 even in it's ultra from were not renowned for their speed :( . Having said that I cant answer your question because I don't know much about the 9200!!

I think I had the 9200 (or the 9700) pro for awhile... I wasn't that impressed to be honest... I made a large leap of faith shortly after taking the card back and got the nVidia 6800GT Ultra 256MB... I have to say that I really like it... but that doesn't really help you does it?

:?

Sorry...
You've got red on you.

I'd go for the best possible version of 9200 if I had to choose between nVidia and ATI (choose ATI 9200 or nVidia 5200).

I had ATI 8500 LE and it was great card for very reasonable price, much better then the 900 or 9100,some say it was bette then 9200, however I don't know that.
