Rome: Total War
On behalf of :FI:Macca44 and me, those who are interested in exploring some online fun with Rome:Total War are invited to a session next week!
Particulars:
Saturday, February 19th
10:00 p.m. (Poland +1 GMT)
5:00 p.m. (Atlantic Canada -4 GMT)
It should be a fun and "relaxed" time to discuss the game, our present/past campaigns, the patch, and obvious explore battlefield tactics. We hope to enjoy some team matchups.
If you are interested and can make this upcoming session please drop us a post here.
TactS!
P.S. I wonder if we will hear from Falcon and Gurb now "that's it on baby!"?

Yes, as TactS said, all wishing to participate are invited.
So....
Prepare your roman sandals and your mighty little sword
for the incoming battles in snow and rain, in sun and in dust.
Though I didn't play that much of Rome due to time limitations, I'm looking
forward to next weekend.

This new patch is great so far!
I prefer to play on Moderate where there are no bonuses for either side. I found myself using them there tactics last night against the Gauls. I even lost a couple of battles so far. Great stuff!
Can't sell a map if my life depended on it; no more killer dogs; no more one boat navies; men running into the water; flaming arrows seem to work better, as does the game in general; routing an issue on Moderate; while the horses seem a little strong, I like them plus they actually seem to run faster than footmen (they didn't seem to before IMO).

Pssst.....TactS...I didn't want to tell it to him straight forward...You know.....if he is scared he may not want to play with us....
Well....We could be gentle and let you take better positions, Falconi Noble Patroni:)
We'd be glad to hear the footsteps of yer soldiers marching fearlessly into clash with our victorious troops:)
I have to be more diplomatic....

U know what, guys...I'm rather poor at tactics:)SO if it is I that is to be outnumbered and so on:)
Gah!!!
Why did I say this....

So like I know all kinds of killer tactics - can't be beat mate.
Any how you have any you want to share? I need them bad.
Like for archers, should I target enemy forces while they're still far away or wait to attack with them in melee combat? Personally I like using them to go bird hunting in the woods.
Got any tricks you want to share - wink, wink.

Well, no killer tactics I have. But when it comes to archers, i like to use them from distance, no malee fighting with them, waste of men.
I like cavalry best....when they attack enemy ,already softened, footmen from flank....like butter....
Yes, flanking is best, however sometimes hard to use;), esp when you are surrounded:)
Such typical things as pikes-equiped guys against cavalry etc - no need to mention. The game is sooooo beautiful, no matter if are losing or winning - always with beautiful graphics:)
