Thank you very much for your efforts, Larry. Much appreciated! :D

Sorry to read this, mate. And you're sure that there wasn't any enemy aircraft around using a cloaking device or maybe one of your fuel tanks just blew up? Strange thing, that is! 8-[ :-s :-k

Gen, out!

No Frank, most likely some kind of game glitch. Others have experienced similar in recent past, I learned. Check out comments and pictures of it in post #'s 2364 - 2368 on this page of the BOS forum.

I notice no new posts yet on the SNBF forum thread, mates, so that event may not occur this weekend.
The Friday event was nearly full when I last checked, but if either/both of you want to try for it, you might still find slots.

Otherwise, if no SNBF this Saturday, I suggest we meet at the normal time for it (1700 UTC) and fly for a while on the Tactical Air War (TAW) server if you're game for it! I will plan on doing this for certain, unless SNBF happens after all.

Yak-1s only? Why not? As long as I don't need to be the flight leader since I've no idea what I'm doing anyway ...

Did I get this wrong?

Oops, sorry boys I missed the time on this one. They alternate it from week to week. We can do it another time.

So, if 1700 UTC works for you two, we can meet then for TAW instead.
Let's meet on the FI teamspeak tomorrow. We can move to the TAW TS after that if we like.

If you haven't seen it, post #177 on this link shows you what planes we each start with. Also, post #179 gives the TS.

I was on for a bit, popped into the TAW server to see what was what, it was wall to wall Axis with no allies in sight, so I didn't even click on an Airfield, just looked around the map and left.

Sorry I missed you, Vin. I was about 10-12 minutes late. Looked for you in TS and on the site, then jumped in and played about 2 hours. There were 5-7 Reds flying with me, and 3-6 Blues during that time.
Since it's an online war, once you join a side you obviously can't switch. Of course that means at times it will be lopsided, but that problem will be less frequent in time if enough join up. It's in infancy now.

The weekend coming up includes Memorial Day holiday on Monday. I might be away, but that's up in the air for now. I'll post again later if it looks like I'll be around.

Went on tonight again (TAW), managed to shoot down a FW190 who was flying straight and true (silly bugger), this might be a decent thing to get into, as long as the folk who are hacking the game stay away. Though it would be better to fly as a team rather than going in singly. The Axis squads do have their collective shit together in this though.

Frank,
I definitely can't make this Friday's FNBF. Have a blast if you fly it!

Vin,
I agree, TAW is pretty good, and I think we'd enjoy doing it as a squad (even if only 3 of us  ). I think each mission needs to be a bit longer though, because right now it's hard to accomplish more than 1 thing in a single mission. (Would not be a problem if you had maybe 8 or 10 guys on your side, though.)
Recommend going in the designated TAW teamspeak next time, whether meeting up with us or on your own. That's were I was the other day. Flew with 2 guys I've met through the Friday missions, and another 2 guys I didn't know before then. Point being, even if no other FI can join when you find some time, you can still do some teamwork with others. You're right - some of the Axis guys are working well together, and there are more of them in this right now than Allies I think.

I can't make Friday, but Saturday for TAW should be good, if anyones around that is, drop a line here and let me know, I can get on for 18:00 GMT.
