New controller?

My Saitek throttle quadrant is on the way out. Only 2 or the 3 handles work so I can map throttle and pitch but not mixture for example.

Question is what do I replace it with - my birthday is next month so it will my present to me!

1. Get another Saitek quadrant - when it works it is good.
2. CH Pro Throttle
3. Go the whole "Hog" and get the Thrustmaster Warthog joystick and throttle and pension of my MS FFB2 - or sell on eBay and use the dosh to get some rudder pedals.

Any user feedback would be welcome.

Neil, the way things are progressing with Sims I would suggest going with something that has programming software with it as quite frankly sometimes you never have enough buttons. Personally I would go with either the CH combo or the warthog, both have excellent software that will have one button do multiple things.
My first set was the CH stuff and did me sterling work for 8 years (still have it as a redundancy measure). My current set is the warthog throttle and stick, still using the CH pedals now for 10 years, plus the CH quadrant (a recent purchase). If things went tits up with either setup I would still go with one of those.

oh and No.3 choice, you would get a decent price for that MS FFB.

get rudder pedals. Not sure how I ever flew without them.

Sunday two weeks ago, part of the wing blown off form the tip to about 1/5 towards the fuselage on a P51, dreadful roll action due to missing portion. Very easy to correct with a bit of rudder pedal pressure.

Very very hard to correct with keyboard only rudder.

I'd hold on to the MS FFB2 at least until you are sure you prefer the new stick if possible. Mine hasn't been getting much use but its the only piece of flying equipment I would be hesitant to replace or upgrade :)
