@ Gen - Prepare and finish Body and neck parts - 1 Week Rout neck PU hole , sand and spray many coats, stain and French polish neck (that's a technique, not dual nationality 
. Wiring , fittings and setup 2 hours.
@ Helo No synth. Just using Electric Mistress filter Matrix. Single coil middle PU wired to phase switch (may need a hotter SC there).
May need one of these

Oh the joys of a fuzz box.
That sounds durty.
OK a distortion pedal.
Take it from me Sneaky one of those just makes your mishaps on the guitar more noisy and noticeable.
