Men:
The v4.10.1 patch has two files: IL2_410_1.exe and IL2_410_1_DS.exe.
After a clean install and patching up, I've installed the IL2_410_1.exe and loading the game it says it's v4.10.1 as expected, but I'm unsure if I need to install the Il2_410_1_DS.exe file.
I don't recall installing it the last time I went through this, and it may explain why I am unable to select a base when attempting to join a DF.
Is this file required before I apply the HSFX5.0 mod?

I think the IL2_410_1_DS.exe is the Dedicated Server software so since you aren't going to host IL-2 on a dedicated server you won't need to have this version to be downloaded. Talking about the HSFX 5.0 I'd say you need to have IL-2 patched up to 4.10/4.101 ...:FI:Heloego wrote:Men:

Got another issue:
OK...
Now have two complete, pristine installs, " IL2_1946_Clean" and "IL2_HSFX_5.1". No leftover crap from AAA mods.
Both installs working just fine...with three exceptions,:
1. I blew it and forgot to save the original HSFX 5.0 JSGME>Mods folder so I don't have the Native Resolution mod to enable anymore. This, I believe is the cause of my screen showing black bands on both sides even though I've changed the conf.ini file to make it 1920x1200 to match my monitor native res. Need either a link to DL the mod and add it to my JSGME or could someone e-mail it to me? ( Have this same res prob in the 4.10.1 install. ) Did not occur until I did the 4.10.1 patch. Must have something to do with the newer coding.
2. Need to configure my Saitek HOTAS. Plan to get that set up and checked out tomorrow night.
3. Got a few additional maps to install.
