Yes Murph, you can have both versions installed, TS3 installs into it's own folder so there is no reason to remove TS2 off your system.

At the mo Gurb's server is still down.
Attempts to connect to Barbarians fail.
What server (other than the TS Public Server) can/will we use?

Gurb's server is going to remain down. Just connected to Mike's server just fine?

Mike's/Barbarians server should be seen as the default server for now until we decide which way to go from here i.e. TS2/3.

There was no point both Mike and me each running a TS server, so after 5 years of it I/we decided that Mike can pick up the future bills ;)

Clarification:
I was attempting a connect to Barbarians using TS3. Safe assumption TS2 is the current version.

BTW, thanks for hosting for us!

If Mike forwards the bills to you, just return them as "Undeliverable". ;)

Just installed it and gave it look- seems real nice. How soon will we decide if we're going to use this version? Is it mostly up to whoever is running the server?

Gents

Thats the new TS3 server up and running. Still have a few things to sort out but working on it.

Think its the same address

ts60.bargainvoice.com
port 5310

So new TS3 client needed before you can connect.

Just tested it.

Works fine. Connected to the server and changed few words with Mike.

Sound's great, better quality of the sound.

I like it.

Spoke to Greg, he's got it sorted.

you got 2 Windows options when downloading the new client.

Client 32-Bit 3.0.0-beta9 (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 32 bit only )

Client 64-Bit 3.0.0-beta9 (Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 64 bit only )

Just make sure you download the correct one or youl have issues.

Yes rgrt

After using it last night it sounds much better but at the same time im not so sure of it. Everyone sounds different but definitely more clear. Just not sure what this is doing to your connection when using the software. Rambo doesn't have the best connection in the world so he was coming in poor at times and was getting kicked from games. This does happen for Rambo sometimes so it may have been one of those nights for him. I know Wolf is on wireless so we'll see how it goes for him. Maybe need to have a look at the different codec's or best user settings to try and help people out. The worst codec makes it sound like your in the toilet so maybe we can set up a new channel called "Toilet" for the boys with crap connections!

But on a serious note, it's better but think it's gonna take time to get used to.
