AAA Unified Installer 1.2

Post by :FI:Scott » Mon Jul 20, 2009 3:26 pm

The release date for this is posted as 24th July.... the thread is here-

http://allaircraftarcade.com/forum/view ... hp?t=18049

Perhaps we should start to discuss when/if the FI go over to this new version ? There is a bit of work in it so planning this out looks sensible, the requirement is a copy of the game patched up to Unified Installer 1.1.

For my part I would suggest that we let it come out and go through initial fault reporting/patching but that as far as we can we should all try to be running the same game. This might be a good opportunity to bring everyone back to that.

I agree. But I just might set up a new IL2 Game folder (Copy/Paste Thingy) and try it out. Check out the FMB, compatibility with Lowengrin"s campaign creator, MAT Manager, and some other things I run with IL2, and on HL, It may come with a version switcher that goes pre UI1.2.

I'll report back some of my findings.

PS, is there anything planned for this Friday?

The way I saw it is that they de-bug 1.2. While they're on with figuring out why so-and-so doesn't work etc we can decide here what, if anything, in adition to 1.2 we should have installed. At the moment the only thing I can see that we might need (dependant on timings) for upcomming missions is the Swordfish.

We can then post in this thread a clear set of intructions to get it all installed and running.

The 1.2 thread is here- http://allaircraftarcade.com/forum/view ... hp?t=18049

If everyone interested could have look through the contents and suggest any FI required additions (or ones which they think we should be using) please post them here. I think we should try to keep additional content to a minimum so the basic aim of getting everyone on the same copy is achieved as easily as possible

Interesting stuff with triggers and such in the mission builder. Plus the fact you can have more than one profile for your joystick.
