Hello!

Post by Birathen » Sat Feb 16, 2008 2:12 am

*rereads the instructions in the mail a third time*

Uhm.. Hello? My name is Daniel.. Uhm.. "Tell them who you are" check.. And Im from sweden. I'm somewhere inbetween 20 and 30 years old, no kids but two cats. Ish.. These are so damn hard to write.. *rereads instuctions again*
"explain in detail your feelings about life, flying, wainscoting and everything else". What the hell? Life.. Well, you see. Life is a lot like a box of chocolate. Whatever bits are left for you is usually not the tripple nut one. Oh god I love the tripple nut one... Mmm.. I do not know what wainscoting is and Im afraid to google it.

My flying career on the other hand I can tell you all about. Ive had about 8 hours of flight time so far. After a little tinkering offline I went online for some serious internet killings. It went allright by my standards. Ive divebombed in the stuka, ive been in dogfights in 109's and Ive even managed to get of the ground in overloaded fighter bombers(although I usually stall and crash shortly after). So far I have been able to get a few decent kills and even sunk a ship. One of my finer moments was almost taking down -FI-'s recruitment officer(altough he was on my own team, which I swear I did not know! Uhm.. ^-^ )

Anyways.. There is plenty more but some secrets are best revealed when flying a B25 drunk, with one engine on fire.

Ill keep an eye out for you guys in game and hopefully see you in the sky!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I tried to join one of your guys earlier today but I think I pinged out on the server. I still have some learning to do in order to be able to fly effectivly in cockpit mode, get sum more skills with the mouse look to keep track of the enemies and so on.. So far Ive had nothing but fun, fun, fun, even if it is just as likely that Ill overload the aircraft and crash on takeoff :)

Question: Do you have dedicated bomber pilots? I meen, pilots that more often then not fly bombers, dive bombers and fighter bombers instead of pure fighters? I did some loose formation flying with a bomberwing last night online. 7 B25's with fighter escort and semi organised bumbing runs. It was by far the icing on the cake last night :)

Hi :wink2:

There are pilots who prefer the bombers and most FI coops have a mix of planes so you can choose either. If you try Sunday night (start around 7.30pm Yorkshire time) you should find what you are looking for. You can find us in Hyperlobby under the :FI: or =FI= tags

Hi

Bombers? You should check out Helo's Goat Skies

I tend to fly the bombers when they're available.

Connection? Check your ping etc here - http://www.speedtest.net/

After action report, the second day:

Yea.. Im positiv I want to fly bombers mainly. Went on the UK dedicated servers for some practice. They have external view and fancy stuff like that. Stuck to the JU87 and JU88 for heavy handeling aircraft practice. I did manage to fine tune my dive bombing extensivly. I.e I hit shit now ^-^

I will however need some help, prolly alot, with the level bombing. Aircrafts with bombsights and so on. I still ahvent figured out how they work :(

Anyways.. Ill try to be at the sunday party and meet some of you flyboys.

On Sunday we usually fly a couple of coops if someone can be bothered to write them - and as I write most of them and I prefer bombers then most of these have some bombing activity in them

We also have been doing machine match ups as a dogfight after the coops which is fighter v fighter - this was the format you joined on Friday evening.
