Recruits to FI squadron need only one thing:
to be Irish, have Irish roots, or just feel sorta Irish, if you know what I mean ...
That´s the first qualifcation you need to have. We'd appreciate if you don´t take yourself that seriously when you fly, have a laugh with us and help your mates out when they´re in troubles.

Basically talking of skills you should be able to take off and land an aircraft in IL-2. Any further skill would be great to have but you necessarily don´t need to be an ace to join the FIS.

Moreover it´s recommended to call a TrackIR device, a headset and a joystick his/her own. We use Hyperlobby to meet and Teamspeak to talk with each other.

BTW, some of our chaps are into sheeps and wainscotting ... just in case you need a reason to start a conversation ... ;)

Hopefully flying with you next time in the virtual blue ...

Thats right, though landing seems more often than not accompanied by smoke and flames and cries if "OOH niiiiieeeeeet".

But its the taking off that's really important ( though we get more practice at that)
