Skin Request - Sea Hurricane

Post by :FI:Nellip » Thu Jan 11, 2007 12:55 pm

Does anyone possess a suitable skin for a Sea Hurricane?

I am planning to do a movie based on the Arctic convoys in 1942, which will incorporate clips from FB and SH3. Sea Hurricanes from HMS Victorious were part of this action but I need a skin for it.

http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/79/9/11/117" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The link above shows the sort of thing I am looking for.

If anyone wants to talk me through doing one myself then I am up for that too, but you will need endless patience!

Any help will of course be credited!

As the resident Hurricane skinner from the great skinning project I could probably help you out with this. If you've got something in the works Sneaky go with it. Do you want it with FI markings or the Brit stuff? And do you have a time frame you're looking to have it by?

Not sure - data I have got suggests some blue and green with sky undersurfaces and some "Extra Dark Sea Grey and Dark Slate Grey uppersurfaces. in the B Scheme pattern, with Sky undersurfaces"

Green and blue is the most often quoted?

Got to agree, that was just what I was looking for.

One teeny point - sorry - is that these planes would be on the flightdeck of a carrier on an Arctic convoy, so I guess with all that salt water etc they would look pretty well weathered and maybe faded?

That looks fantastic Sneaky.

I was looking for 6 aircraft - 2 vics of 3.

As far as the weathering goes I like my aircraft like my women - dirty!!!!
