A day that shall live on in infamy....

Pearl Harbour Day!!!

Or more like it "Japan attacks clueless US forces on Pearl Harbour day"

What have you done to celebrate/comemorate this historical event? I've been busy watching "Pearl Harbour" movies all day. How about you?

Groovy, I still have time to fly a couple of sorties over BS row. ^:|

cheers

:beer: :beer: :beer:

Happy Pearl Harbour Day everyone
See you on the flipside.

Or more like, "Japan awakens a sleeping giant" day. (Paraphrase of Yamamoto's own words concerning the incident).

Indeed. And according to my wall calendar (2007 Golden Age of Flight) please note the following for this month:

- December 7 Japanese attack Pearl Harbour, 1941

- December 8 United States and Great Britain declare war on Japan, 1941 (hence why you boys need to join us tonight in Iwo Jima ;) );

- December 11 United States declares was on Germany and Italy, 1941 (late Yanks, what? :D )

- December 17 First powered flight, Kitty Hawk, N.C., 1903

We had a lot of Germans living here (or should i say American/German)
and there were some, a very small number, who were parading around
over here with that funny cross on them

See Lindbergh and Ford, neither of which was very harsh towards that German regime. If I remember correctly Ford and Hitler had a corespondence going for a while...and I think that's one of reasons Lindbergh had a stint in the Pacific and not the European theater too.
