Best to keep your main PC connected by cable. Wireless connection to router will give some packet loss/lag etc. Wireless ISP= worse than dial-up.

Wireless and Cable

Post by MikeVictor » Wed Nov 08, 2006 3:54 pm

Thinking about the wireless so Jane can access the internet when I am (not when I'm gaming though). My gaming PC would be hooked up via a cable, Jane's via the wireless thingy. I'm interested in having a hardware firewall mostly, and making our printer, scanner available to both PC's..

all that sort of thing.

However, my gaming performance on line is THE priority for Christs sake.

Back soon, I hope,

The graphics and sound on my new PC while playing IL2 and COD2 is amazing. Especially with the dual core CPU support by COD2, simply amazing...
