April 9th Session

Post by Nightcat » Wed Apr 05, 2006 3:32 pm

I can setup some squad vs squad thing, I forget who they call themselves but they squad leader I know via Joint Operations.

They're all game (Should be around 16 ish), so should I try set something up for 8pm this Sunday? 8pm Sundays is there squad time too, so pretty perfect.

Do we invite them to our teamspeak?

Dogfight and a Coop?

I've no idea

Help!

Well, I´m good for it ... I promised COM to create some interesting COOP missions for next Sunday though but I can do this for the following one as well. Sorry, COM! But I´m still a lazy bugger ... ;)

Dogfight or COOP? This always depends on the squad´s preferences (maybe you´ve already recognized that even in our squad there´re different ideas about what kind of mission types to fly). I guess the chaps you like to invite are flying for the Allies, right? In this case I´d give a dogfight mission with even plane sets a go (one fighter, one ground pounder and one bomber type). But if these chaps fly for the Axis then I´d prefer some 8vs8 COOPs. 8)

Speaking of the teamspeak server I don´t mind to let them use it. As far as I know there´re 32 slots free to use on it so it hopefully won´t be too overcrowded ...

My two Eurocents ...

Good stuff NC!

Hope it comes off.

Doing a Coop and a dogfight would be nice.

I'd rather see the dogfight more like a Machine match affair though, so we can 'dogfight' ;) Two equal planes, two same planes or multiple choice for both teams from same year would all be good.

Then Coop with bomber/fighter bomber/fighter escort mission.

My two ha'pennies

I've asked if they're interested in flying Axis or Allied aircraft, I hope someone has something available to host a machine match or the likes!

I've been out of town a couple days since the original posting, its still in the works and I can't see a problem rising.

Going to give the FI TS details to the CO later, hope all goes to plan this Sunday, I'll make sure they know they can use the TS as our guests.

For Coop I think it would only be fair (or incredibly lazy of me) to let them offer the Coop mission. Hope thats something for everyone and everything goes to plan

Update

Post by Nightcat » Sat Apr 08, 2006 3:15 am

All is on for Sunday 8PM,

Apparently they're not to into squad vs squad but I reckon the general squads will stick together and extras keep things even.
they're not to keen on dogfights so much, but I told them the dogfight would have ground targets in it. They usually meet up in a dogfight style situation anyway so I can't see this being a problem if we do the same, thats a good 30 minutes of dogfighting I reckon easily.

Lastly, I have no dogfight or coops planned but I figure once they're on TS we can go from there and decide. Be interesting to see who has the most turn up for this.

Oh some don't have hyperlobby and rely on ip's, just a heads up on that.

Hey Nightcat Blair of DangerDogz e-mailed me Saturday and mentioned his group was this "mysterious" ;) squad that you arranged to fly with/against yesterday. Did you boys get to fly Sunday mate? We have been involved in 3 sessions with these lads in Historic Encounters. Friendly guys and nice sessions. How was Sunday?

Regards,
TS!

Well there was a great turn out by the FI and 'them' Dangerdogs and Co but sadly there was just to many people for any server to host without major lag etc etc so it was abandoned... lesson learnt I guess >_<

Blair and Quazi have mentioned you a few times TacticalS, "You know TacticalS?? hes really neat" etc etc, "Yep! and I have his autograph!" conversations have happened. It's great to see the Fighting Irish and its members have a great reputation out there, its not that first time I've heard complements about members or the squadron as a whole.

Well I have been lucky to hide my true identity I guess. ;) Sorry you guys were not able to fly as planned. Hopefully there will be another opportunity mate.
