Folks!

I just want to annouce that I´ve uploaded a new DF mission onto our site today. It takes place in Lybia, 1942 and is based on Generalleutnant Rommel's second offensive advancing to the city of Tobruk which had been relieved by 8th Army (British and Commenwealth troops) on December 7th, 1941 before.

Great choice Gen. Folks seemed to really like this scenario in Historic Encounters. The map is obviously unique and a nice change from the norm.

Folks!

After flying the mission yesterday I decided to takes Rab´s advice (... blame it all on him ;) ) and took out the FW190A-4 (was never in Africa) and the Bf-110G-2 and put in the Bf-109E-7/B just order to even up the planeset. I´d wish there would be much more planes available for this scenario ... :(

Well just to muddy the water some more Gen. The FW-190A4 definately dominated the map but not sure if the Bf-110G2 is a problem. Reds have the Beaufighter and the Hurri IIc is a good matchup with the 110G2 imho. The Messer can outrun it but they seldom do, either busy bombing or it might be the temptation to get all those nose cannons on target :D

Was still fun though and it looked great to me M8. Thanks for your work on this. S!

Yesterday while flying the mission we found out that the reason for not being able to bail out had nothing to do with the damage model of the aircrafts but more with the "Parachute" check box for the home bases ...

This minor problem has been solved ... ty for your support, Snoop! :)

Finally we get this mission finished! :p ;)
